Brad Paisley packs tour schedule as new album nears

Country star Brad Paisley plans to stay busy for the remainder of the year with a headlining tour behind his soon-to-be-released album, "Time Well Wasted."

Paisley, who wrapped up a round of summer shows on Wednesday (7/27), will return to the road on Aug. 6 and tackle an itinerary that stretches into mid-December. Details are included below.

Sara Evans and Sugarland will hold down the tour's support slots.

Ten days after the tour gets underway, Paisley issues "Time Well Wasted." The set features Paisley's latest single, "Alcohol," the music video for which which is streaming at his website.

Also streaming at the site is an animated short that Paisley himself created to announce the tour.

Paisley recorded "Time Well Wasted" in Nashville with producer Frank Rogers. The set follows 2003's "Mud on the Tires.

Evans is gearing up for the October release of her new album, "Real Fine Place," which features her current Top 10 hit, "A Real Fine Place to Start."

Atlanta-based trio Sugarland continues to back its 2004 debut, "Twice the Speed of Life," which has spawned the hit singles "Baby Girl" and "Something More."
