Though the release of Santana 's new album has been pushed back two more months to Nov. 1, that won't keep the group--led by guitar whiz Carlos Santana--from completing another round of tour dates.
Santana and his band wrapped up their latest stretch of North American shows in early July, and will launch the tour's 20-plus-date second leg Sept. 15 in San Jose, CA.
When Santana first unveiled his 2005 itinerary, it was expected to support a new Santana album titled "All That I Am." However, the album's original spring release date was first pushed back to Sept. 6, and later to November.
Several guest artists appear on "All That I Am, including Los Lonely Boys, Mary J Blige, Will.I.Am and Big Boi.
"'All That I Am' is an extension and continuation of a vision co-created by Mr. Clive Davis and myself," Carlos Santana said in a statement. "We equate what we do with the dimensions of a three-ring circus or a Cirque du Soleil where children, teenagers, parents and grandparents can share unity and harmony in the family of life. We create songs and magic pairing to bring joy and happiness to the listener."
