Veteran rocker Billy Idol continues to back "Devil's Playground"--his first new studio album in more than a decade--during a late-summer run through North America.
Idol returns to the road later this month for a swing through Canada, then turns his attention to the U.S. for much of September. Details are included below.
Also on the schedule is a stop at this year's Voodoo Music Experience festival in New Orleans, which takes place Oct. 28-29.
Released in March, "Devil's Playground" is Idol's first original collection since 1993's "Cyberpunk." The new set features the single "Scream."
Backing Idol on "Devil's Playground" are longtime guitarist Steve Stevens, drummer Brian Tichy, bassist Stephen McGrath and keyboardist Derek Sheridan, all of whom are touring with the singer, as well.
Idol--who broke through with the punk-rock group Generation X--rose to stardom during the '80s thanks to hits such as "White Wedding," "Rebel Yell," "Dancing with Myself" and "Cradle of Love," among others.
