New Jersey rockers My Chemical Romance , who recently finished their stint on this summer's Warped Tour, have used some of their downtime to map more shows for their first headlining tour.
The group's itinerary (shown below) now kicks off Sept. 13 in Providence, RI, and features a number of new October dates, including a pair of mid-October shows on the band's home turf. Capping the schedule is a stop at the Oct. 29-30 Voodoo Music Experience festival in New Orleans.
As previously reported, Alkaline Trio and Reggie & the Full Effect will hold down the tour's opening slots.
My Chemical Romance is backing its sophomore set, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge." Released in June of 2004, the album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and features the cut "Helena," the music video for which recently earned My Chemical Romance nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards in the Best Rock Video, Best New Artist in a Video, MTV2 Award and Best Choreography in a Video categories. The ceremony is scheduled to air on Aug. 28.
Alkaline Trio is backing its latest release, "Crimson," which surfaced in May, while Reggie & the Full Effect are supporting "Songs Not to Get Married To," which hit stores in March.
