Jim Brickman schedules annual holiday tour

Pianist Jim Brickman will head out this winter on his annual holiday outing, which follows a handful of fall concerts.

Brickman's holiday run is scheduled to kick off in late November, and concludes with a New Year's Eve performance in Cleveland. Also on tap are several September, October and early November stops, as well as a few January and February concerts. The itinerary is shown below.

Brickman usually brings several guests on the road with him during the holiday outing, but details for this year's tour weren't available at press time. Singers Anne Cochran, Kristy Starling and Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees), along with electric violinist Tracy Silverman, were on board during Brickman's 2003 and 2004 outings.

On Oct. 4, Brickman will issue "The Disney Songbook," which houses his interpretations of songs that first turned up in classic Disney films, including "Beauty and the Beast," "Cruella De Vil," "Mary Poppins Medley," Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" and "When You Wish Upon a Star." Wayne Brady, Josh Bracin, Kassie DePaiva, Kimberly Locke and Lila McCann all make guest appearances on the set.

Samples of all 13 cuts from the forthcoming album are posted at Brickman's website.

"The Disney Songbook" follows Brickman's latest studio set, "Grace," a collection of hymns and new compositions that surfaced in April. Samples of that album are streaming at Windham Hill Records' website.

Brickman's early 2006 plans include a weeklong Caribbean cruise that will offer passengers "intimate concerts, parties and time with Jim and his special guests," according to details posted at his website.
