Mannheim Steamroller plans annual holiday tour

In keeping with his 21-year tradition, New Age composer Chip Davis has scheduled a Christmas outing for his band Mannheim Steamroller .

The Omaha, NE-based band will hit 12 Midwest and East Coast cities before wrapping up in their hometown on Dec. 26. Details are listed below.

During tours past, arenas were outfitted in a holiday theme, including a 3,000-square-foot Christmas Village that featured a working electrical train, gingerbread houses, and live toy soldiers and elves. Specifics about this year's tour haven't been released yet.

Mannheim Steamroller has released seven Christmas albums: "Mannheim Steamroller Christmas," "A Fresh Air Christmas," "Christmas in the Aire," "Christmas Extraordinaire," "Christmas Live," "The Christmas Angel" and last year's "Christmas Celebration."

In addition to music, Davis also dabbles in the culinary arts. He recently created a cherry chutney, which he sells on his official website. It is billed as a spicy counterpart to his plum chutney.
