3 Doors Down rack up more shows

Mississippi natives 3 Doors Down , who recently wrapped up their late-summer tour, will return to the road in October to tackle a fall itinerary that continues to grow.

The group's roadwork resumes on Oct. 1, and dates now stretch into mid-November. As previously reported, Alter Bridge and Shinedown will hold down the opening slots for most of the run; Silvertide will take over for Alter Bridge during a stretch of November dates. Details are included in the itinerary below.

3DD's schedule includes a Nov. 13 show at Louisiana's Baton Rouge River Center. The band was originally scheduled to perform there Sept. 29, but had to postpone the show due to ongoing hurricane-relief efforts taking place at the venue. Tickets for the original show will be accepted on the make-up date, according to 3DD's website.

Prior to launching the run, 3 Doors Down will perform during halftime at the Sept. 19 "Monday Night Football" game between the New York Giants and the New Orleans Saints. Originally due to take place at the Louisiana Superdome, the match-up will now be held at Giants Stadium. In addition to 3DD, the game will feature performances from other artists with Gulf Coast ties, according to a press release, including Harry Connick Jr. and Branford Marsalis.

"We're born, raised and live in Southern Mississippi," said a message posted at 3DD's website. "As so many, we've personally lost--as have our families--homes and belongings. It will take a long time to rebuild our Delta region and we want to do everything we can to help."

3 Doors Down is backing its latest album, "Seventeen Days," which surfaced in early February. The set--which features the cut "Let Me Go"--moved about 231,000 copies during its first week in stores, earning it a No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 album chart.
