British rockers Def Leppard continue to add dates to their ongoing co-headlining tour with Bryan Adams , and have also booked a number of shows that will feature Cheap Trick in the opening slot.
New to the group's run with Adams are a half-dozen November shows on the West Coast, and the band's itinerary now also includes a number of October and November concerts with Cheap Trick, as well as a few dates with show-opener Ricky Warwick . Details appear below.
In May, Def Leppard issued the two-disc best-of set "Def Leppard--Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection." The set sold about 66,000 copies during its first week in stores, and debuted at No. 10 on The Billboard 200 chart.
A "Rock of Ages" companion DVD--featuring all of the band's promo videos, plus "a number of extras"--is in the pipeline for North America, but the release date hasn't been determined, according to the band's website.
Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell offered up his solo debut, "Two Sides of If," on Tuesday (9/27). The set features Campbell's interpretations of 11 blues songs originally performed by artists such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Rory Gallagher and more. Additional details about the set are posted at Campbell's website.
Adams released his latest album, "Room Service," on May 10. The set features the cut "Why Do You Have to be So Hard to Love," which is streaming at his website.
Cheap Trick's most recent studio collection is 2003's "Special One." The group has reportedly finished recording a follow-up set, but no release date has been announced.
Warwick offered up his sophomore set, "Love Many, Trust Few," in May. The album follows his 2003 solo debut, "Tattoos & Alibis," which Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliot produced.
