Juanes pencils in more 2006 U.S. shows

Grammy-winning Colombian singer/songwriter Juanes has lined up more dates for a U.S. tour that kicks off early next year, and supports a recently release special edition of his latest album, "Mi Sangre."

The tour, which is still scheduled to launch Jan. 28 in Sunrise, FL, now includes a February stop in San Jose, CA, and four February stops in Texas. Details are shown in the itinerary below.

Meanwhile, a previously announced Feb. 23 performance at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis has been canceled.

On Nov. 15, Juanes issued "Mi Sangre Tour Edition," a retooled version of last year's "Mi Sangre." Limited to only 150,000 individually numbered copies, the disc houses all of the tracks found on the original album, as well as a number of bonus tracks, including live renditions of several hits, a collaboration with Black Eyed Peas, a remix of "La Camisa Negra" and the previously unreleased song "Lo Que Importa."

"Mi Sangre Tour Edition" also includes a DVD featuring music videos for the "Mi Sangre" hits "Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor," "Volverte a Ver" and "La Camisa Negra," as well as additional promotional material.

In early November, Juanes picked up three wins at the sixth-annual Latin Grammy awards, and has now won a total of a dozen Latin Grammys over the years, more than any other artist in the events. His latest trio of awards came in the Best Rock Solo Vocal Album ("Mi Sangre"), Best Rock Song ("Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor") and Best Music Video ("Volverte A Ver") categories.

In 2003, Juanes swept all five categories in which he had been nominated.

"Mi Sangre" is the follow-up to 2002's "Un Dia Normal," which earned Juanes a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. The set--which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts, and at No. 33 on The Billboard 200--has been certified quadruple platinum, according to a press release. That certification symbolizes U.S. shipment of 4 million copies.
