Rockers Avenged Sevenfold , who are finishing up a round of shows with CKY, have rolled out plans for a spring co-headlining trek with Coheed and Cambria .
The run gets underway in early April, and stops throughout the US are stacked up through mid-May. Details are included below.
Avenged Sevenfold--vocalist M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, guitarist Zachy Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer The Rev--released its major-label debut, "City of Evil," last June. Producer Mudrock--who produced the band's 2003 indie set, "Waking the Fallen"--was at the helm again for the new disc.
Coheed and Cambria are backing last September's "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star V," their first release for Columbia Records. The set follows the group's gold-certified 2003 album, "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3."
"Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star V" is part of what will end up being a five-album saga based around a doomed married couple who are convinced that they must sacrifice their children to save the world from being infected by a virus that is embedded in their genes, according to a press release.
Avenged Sevenfold has four stops left on its current tour with CKY, and will then mount a European trek. Details about the remaining dates with CKY are included below, and more information about the Euro outing is posted at Avenged Sevenfold's website.
