The Antlers

Indie-rock outfit The Antlers originally was a solo project for singer/guitarist Peter Silberman, who later recruited drummer Michael Lerner and keyboardist Darby Cicci as permanent bandmates.

After dishing out a pair of EPs in 2008--"Cold War" and "New York Hospitals"--the trio self-released the full-length set "Hospice" in early 2009. The critically acclaimed album was subsequently remastered and re-released on New York-based French Kiss Records, with whom the band has signed a record deal.

"Hospice" tells the story of a man losing a loved one to bone cancer, and staying by her side in the hospital as she's dying.
