Fanfarlo

British outfit Fanfarlo has its sights set on the Oct. 6 US release of its debut album, "Reservoir." The group recorded the 11-track collection in about six weeks with the help of producer Peter Katis (The National, Interpol), whose home studio in Bridgeport, CT, was the site of the recording sessions.

"Reservoir" finds the band--Simon Balthazar (lead vocals, guitar, clarinet), Cathy Lucas (violin, mandolin, keyboard, vocals), Justin Finch (bass), Amos Memon (drums) and Leon Beckenham (trumpet, keyboard)--employing a wide array of instruments, many of which turned up during the taping of the quintet's LiveDaily Sessions performance at this year's SXSW music festival in Austin, TX.

A few weeks before "Reservoir" hits US store shelves, Fanfarlo will mount an eight-date pre-release tour in the States, which comprises September performances in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, New York City, and Brooklyn, NY.
