A Fine Frenzy
Led by Alison Sudol, A Fine Frenzy issued its debut album, "One Cell in the Sea," in 2007, shortly after opening for The Stooges at that year's annual SXSW music festival in Austin, TX. The set spawned the hit "Almost Lover."
Sudol followed "One Cell in the Sea" with this year's "Bomb in a Birdcage," which the singer/songwriter/pianist said shows another side of A Fine Frenzy.
"I think some people may be surprised," Sudol said of the new set in her record-company bio. "They think that I'm all fragile and ethereal--and that's lovely, it's flattering. It's all I've really let anyone see, up to this point. But I have a wild side, to. I like to bang on things and cause a ruckus every now and then. I'm a quiet person with a loud streak. I like both. This record is a testament to that."
